Frio Suite is the first collaboration by world-renowned guitarist, Phil Keaggy and Jeff Johnson. It was born out of Phil and Jeff’s meeting at the Christian conference center, Laity Lodge, situated on the Frio River in Texas. At that time, both artists already had an awareness and deep respect for one another’s music. They decided to experiment by sending ideas back and forth between their respective project studios in Nashville and Camano Island. The result is a musical journey to a place where heaven and earth truly meet full of rich, lyrical, haunting melodies of beautifully textured guitars, piano and keyboards. The music was made in collaboration with visual artist, Kathy Hastings, who created an entire series of images entitled by the same name.
